TEXAS CONDUCTING WORKSHOP
June 8-12, 2026

This 5-day intensive course with Maestro Diane Wittry (Allentown Symphony Orchestra, author of Beyond the Baton and Baton Basics) and Dr. Silas Huff (Director of Orchestras, UT Arlington; Music Director, Clinton Symphony Orchestra) takes place at the University of Texas at Arlington, and includes 40+ minutes of video-recorded podium time and guest lectures from experts in music and education. Limited active participants will be accepted (first consideration goes to students who apply by February 1, 2026). There are unlimited seats for auditors/observers.

This course includes:

  • 40+ minutes of video-recorded conducting sessions with live musicians

  • Baton technique/conducting classes

  • Score study sessions

  • Video review sessions

  • Guest lectures from music and education experts (TBA)

  • Profession of Conducting class

  • Final conductor dinner (included)
